MC* (Markdown Copy) is a chrome extension I built with the simple goal of having a privacy focused, easy to use option.
Key Features
- Copy the page and title in markdown format.
- Keyboard shortcut and buttons available.
- Remove site tiles (e.g. “- YouTube”) from page titles.
- No storage of data.
- No tracking.
History
While working at 1Password I found myself often wanting to copy URL’s and page titles to help share information with others. There are other extensions on the store to do this but not one that I felt was both easy to use and did it all in a privacy focused manner. So I decided to build the extension myself and keep it intentionally simple only providing the features needed to make it easy to review for the team there.
